The Kenya Land Law exam is a prerequisite for any surveyor that wishes to be licensed by the LSB. This is a written exam on the various laws that govern land in Kenya. Candidates should note that the exam is not limited to current laws as there still are land issues that arose out of previous transactions where the old laws were applicable. Candidates are encouraged to form discussion groups and consult practicing professionals on common land issues.

The land law exam is administered annually, on the first week of December. Any candidates interested in the exam are required to pay KES. 10,000 to the secretary of the board at least 3 weeks before the exam. The candidate may also obtain past papers from the secretary of the board.
